Branch

A single pipeline or consequetive pipelines can be defined as a "branch".

According to the above diagrams and definition as a branch can be cosidered

Left Network Definition
- Branch 1: Pipeline 1
- Branch 2: Pipeline 2 and
- Branch 3: Pipeline 3
Right Network Definition
- Branch 1: Pipeline 1+ Pipeline 2
- Branch 2: Pipeline 3 + Pipeline 5
- Branch 3: Pipeline 4

Alternatively the rule one pipeline for one branch can be followed in the network description at the right.
By applying the above we can have

Right Network Alternative Definition
- Branch 1: Pipeline 1
- Branch 2: Pipeline 3
- Branch 3: Pipeline 4
- Branch 4: Pipeline 2
- Branch 5: Pipeline 5

Remarks

A network contains at least one (the main) branch.
1. By default for a newly created Network to a project, the first assigned branch is considered as the “MAIN” one.
Complex Networks with more than one branches are allowed. Please consult support for instructions if needed.
