Pipeline

A pipeline is a collection of Stations and pipes (pipe segments).
All pipes in a pipeline are interconnected in such a way that

• the starting point of a pipe coincides with the outlet of a station
• the end point of the pipe coincides with the inlet of another station

Exception to the above rule: pipes connected to network boundaries (see stations 1,5,9,12 below).

Various alternatives can be adopted to represent a real network especially if the user follows a manual definition of pipelines.
